仲夏之夜往往与温暖、明亮的夜晚联系在一起。2024年8月15日，RBH非盈利亲子文化活动中心在64街8大道的翠苑成功举办了第二届亲子晚宴，主题即为“仲夏之夜”。本次晚宴由彩虹屋艺术教育机构独家赞助， RBH的义工和彩虹屋全体教职人员经过整个夏天的准备，上演了一场精彩纷呈的视听盛会。
A midsummer night is often associated with warm and bright evenings. On August 15, 2024, RBH Non-Profit Parent-Child Activity Center successfully hosted its second annual parent-child dinner at Cuiyuan on 8th Avenue and 64th Street, with the theme "A Midsummer Night." The event was exclusively sponsored by Rainbow House Art Education Institution. After a whole summer of preparation, RBH's volunteers and the entire staff of Rainbow House presented a spectacular audiovisual feast.

RBH发起人石巧燕介绍到RBH的使命是连接每个平凡的家庭，提供孩子们无与伦比的的舞台体验，让华裔下一代，更自信，阳光；并发掘、培养更多具备全面且心里素养极高的领导型人才；本期活动与以往RBH大型活动聘请专业主持人不同，由Alan Jiang,Michelle Ren 和彩虹屋的学生Giovanna Tso主持，虽生涩但真实，给到他们不同的人生体验。这也是许多家长的心愿，锻炼下一代的勇气，培养他们责任感。
The founder of RBH, Qiaoyan Shi, introduced that RBH's mission is to connect ordinary families, provide children with unparalleled stage experiences, and help the next generation of Chinese-Americans become more confident and optimistic. Additionally, RBH aims to discover and cultivate more well-rounded individuals with high emotional and psychological qualities, grooming them into future leaders. Unlike previous large-scale RBH events that featured professional hosts, this event was hosted by Alan Jiang, Michelle Ren, and Giovanna Tso, a student from Rainbow House. Although they were somewhat inexperienced, their authenticity provided them with unique life experiences.This is also the wish of many parents—to build the courage of the next generation and nurture their sense of responsibility.

RBH特别邀请了正在攻读舞蹈博士学位的Yao Xu老师，她是2024年塞尔玛·珍妮·科恩奖的获得者。Yao Xu为义工们编排了现代舞《If Then》。这部作品通过舞者们细腻的肢体语言，深刻探讨了决策、命运与可能性之间的复杂关系。舞者们的表现充满了情感和力量，台下的观众无不为之动容。
RBH specially invited Yao Xu, a dance instructor currently pursuing a PhD in dance and the recipient of the 2024 Selma Jeanne Cohen Award. Yao Xu choreographed the contemporary dance piece If Then for the volunteers. Through the dancers' delicate movements, this work deeply explores the complex relationships between decision-making, fate, and possibility. The dancers' performance was filled with emotion and strength, leaving the audience profoundly moved.

Encouraging each other along the way, they overcame numerous challenges and captivated the entire audience.

A group of girls, dressed in elegant white and wearing beautiful makeup, performed The Cuckoo, while their light blue costumes brought a fairytale-like quality to Let It Go from Frozen. Other performances included the lively Up the Spring Mountain, the graceful yet playful Night Banquet in Tang Dynasty Palace, the perfectly synchronized There’s a Girl, and energetic street dance routines like Be Your Own Sun, One More Day, Faith, and the volunteer street dance team’s Love You Like Me. These performances showcased the children’s energy and passion for the arts.
