Meet RBH Team

RBH Center has a team of highly qualified teachers, all of whom have been selected through a rigorous evaluation process. Each teacher has a rich experience in teaching and how to get along with children. While helping the children enrich their academic knowledge, we also help them to develop positive habits and social skills.

Elain Shi--Principal, Founder of RBH and New Rainbow House

Ms.Elain has been in Education for over 20 years and holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree. In 2012, she first founded an educational organization called RBH Center, which includes an after-school tutoring and daycare program. She believes in high quality education and a positive educational environment that promotes school growth. Her passion for education and vision for the future has kept her striving for twenty years and will continue to work hard for her dream.

Kenton Zheng--Vice Principal

He has attended one of the specialized high schools in NY and obtained the International Baccalaureate Diploma. He graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and worked in Childhood Education for over 10 years. He works hard to cater to each individual student's needs and strives to see excellence in each student with many achieving academic improvements. 

​Kevin Wang--Teacher, Supervisor

Kevin has more than ten years of working experience in Childhood Education. ​He is a strong leader and problem-solver, not only is that he is well-versed in kindergarten and elementary school education, he also specializes in individualized student care tutoring.​ He is passionate about working with students, and develop new skills and overcome different obstacles  while creating everlasting relationships with parents.

Tingting Wu--Teacher, Supervisor

Tingting obtained a Bachelor degree of Art in English Literature at Hunter College. She is currently a student of a Master's program at Hunter College, School of Education and will receive her teaching certificate in 2024. Tingting has been working in R.B.H. for 8 years and has rich experience in teaching students from K to 5th grade. With her exclusive teaching experience, Tingting now serves as a supervisor advising the  volunteers and tutors of R.B.H. 

Daisy Shi--General Manager of SI

Daisy holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. She had worked in public kindergarten as teacher assistant. She was also the principal of Hua Xia Staten Island Chinese School Branch from 2021-2022. In the fall of 2022, she joined RBH Center to assist with logistics as the general manager. She is committed to build the school as a social and cultural interaction platform to unite Chinese communities.

Kalen Chen--Supervisor of SI

Holds a Bachelor degree of Engineering Science in Shanghai University. Kalen  has a rich experience with teaching and tutoring, she used her language skills to instruct and teach English and math to students in both China and the United States for many years. She has also worked as a Chinese and English translator at large events. As both a Chinese and English speaker, she is willing to apply her diligent work ethics and to utilize her fluent bilingual knowledge.

Common Core Teachers

Sally Zou--Teacher

Ms. Sally Zou is currently attending Brooklyn College and majoring in its Childhood Education K-6 Bachelor's Degree program. Ms. Sally Zou has been working in education for 6 years, nearly half of which has been with RBH. Ms. Sally Zou will continue her studies for a Masters Degree in order to become a teacher for the NYC DOE.

Hanxi Lin--Teacher

Ms. Hanxi Lin is currently attending Baruch College as an undergraduate student. Ms. Hanxi Lin has over 5 years of K-8 after-school tutoring and one-on-one reinforcement teaching experience.

Tiffany Wang--Teacher

Ms. Tiffany Wang is currently attending New York University's College of Arts and Sciences as an undergraduate student. Ms. Tiffany Wang has over 7 years of experience in teaching K-8 students, after-school tutoring, one-on-one reinforcement teaching, and standardized testing prep.

Alvin Zhao--Teacher

Mr. Alvin attended the specialized Stuyvesant High School and has also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry/Bioinformatics from Hunter College. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics at New York University. Mr. Alvin has several years of one-on-one G6-11 tutoring and standardized testing prep experience and has volunteered as parent-teacher-student coordinators in the local community. 

Music Teachers

Baburashvili Ilya--Piano Teacher

Mr.Ilya holds both Master and Bachelor's degree of composition in Moscow State Conservatory.  Mr.Ilya has many outstanding talents, he holds the position of music teacher, composer, accompanist, translator, computer programmer. He's now pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer science at Hunter College. 

Lily Dong--Violin Teacher

Ms. Lily Dong has received professional violin training from an early age. She possesses a Level 12 Violin Certification from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music’s signifying her social and artistic achievements.  Ms. Lily Dong has served as a violin teacher at the Sunny Music Studio. She is experienced in teaching scale exercises, reading music scores, correcting bow holds and directing playing postures.

Petvy Li--Music Teacher

Ms. Petvy Li is a children's piano and guitar teacher with a Piano ABRSM Grade 5 and Distinction Guitar Suzuki Vol. 5​ educational background. As a teacher, Ms. Petvy Li believes in open communication with parents and will ensure that parents are informed of the child's progress throughout the course curriculum. 

Dance Teachers

Jie Gao--Dance Teacher

Ms. Gao is from Fujian Arts Vocational College, specializing in Dance Performance. With a Beijing Dance Academy certification and a passion for inspiring creativity and teamwork, she has been the Principal Instructor at training institution since 2019. Notable performances include contributing to the 2020 Jianou City's Poverty Alleviation Art Education Donation Ceremony and the 2021 commemorative performance for the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China.

Yao Xu--Dance Teacher

Graduated from Hunter College with M.A in Dance Education. Now, she is a PhD candidate in Dance Studies in Temple University. She is well-versed in various dance styles. Beyond her technical proficiency, what sets our teacher apart is her genuine passion for teaching. She believes in the transformative power of dance and is dedicated to instilling that same passion in her students. ​​

Di Chen--Dance Teacher

Ms. Di Chen has obtained the International Dance A-Level Teacher Qualification and the Chinese Ethnic Folk Dance Teacher Qualification certifying her exemplary teaching ability. Ms. Di Chen has received the 1st place award in Latin Dance in fitness dance competitions and awarded the title of outstanding athlete. Ms. Di Chen has also received the 1st place prize in Latin Dance in Second South China Five Provinces Dance Championship and 3rd place in the 23rd Guangxi International Standard Dance Championship.

Samuel Cheng--Dance Teacher

Samuel is a dedicated artist in the realm of theatre, boasting extensive experience both on stage and screen. He has completed the Musical Theatre Conservatory Program at AMDA. Throughout his studies, he has benefited from the guidance of numerous exceptional teachers, covering various aspects including acting, vocal performance, dance, and musical theatre. In the theatrical domain, Samuel has participated in the performances of several productions such as "Hair," "Unspoken Truth," "Looking For Chinatown," and "We're Back." Additionally, he has served as a choreographer and dancer for annual galas at both Baidu and Lenovo companies.

Jun Zhou--Dance Teacher

Mr. Jun Zhou is a dance artist, choreographer, and NYS certified dance teacher. Mr. Jun Zhou also has the distinct honor of being an invited performer in the New Year's Eve performance at Times Square. He has experience performing in New York City's Lincoln Center and Las Vegas and Maryland's Monte Carlo Theater. His choir work has been selected by CCTV3, and he has over ten years of teaching experience specializing in Ballet, Jazz, and Latin, Chinese, and Modern Dance. 

Art Teachers

Iris Hu--Art Teacher

Ms. Iris Hu has extensive professional experience in painting and design. She has received professional painting skills training since an early age and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Art Design from the South China Agricultural University. Ms. Iris Hu has ten years of experience in Art Education Research and advocates for encouraging children to draw creatively. She is a strong advocate of stimulate the thinking, sense of space, and imagination of children.

Angel Cheng--Art Teacher

Christina--Art Teacher

Ms. Christina graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. Ms. Christina has several years of professional experience teaching kids as a substitute teacher.  Ms. Christina is well-versed in both traditional and digital art mediums.

Harold Kwong--Art Teacher

Bachelor degree of Fine Art from School of Visual Arts. He currently work as both teacher assistant and art teacher in RBH. He is committed to creating a harmonious learning environment that stimulates students' interest and exploration of the arts.​

Zhang--Art Teacher

Ms. Zhang graduated from the Guangzhou Academy with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and further obtained a Master's Degree at the Kassel Academy of Arts in Germany. Ms. Zhang has professional experience in Oil Painting, Watercolor, Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Design. Ms. Zhang has an extensive 30 years of educational experience in teaching children how to produce creative paintings, cartoons, comics, sketches, watercolors, acrylic paintings, oil paintings, and Chinese paintings, Ms. Zhang has cultivated the artistic talents of many students and greatly contributed to the growth of the art educational field.

Chinese Language Teachers

Allison Xu--Chinese Teacher

Lin Dai--Chinese Teacher

She holds a Hospitality Management Bachelor degree in St. John's University. She has managed several large events, and offer a professional and friendly service. She had also worked as hostess, audio book host and voice actress, which led to her decision of becoming a Chinese teacher. Through her linguistic expertise, she hopes to make more people aware of the appeal of Chinese phonetics.

Yubing Zuo--Chinese Teacher

Ms. Yubing Zuo has over an extensive 25 years of combined teaching experience both internationally and overseas. She has undergone several training certification courses and has been awarded the Class IIA proficiency test grade certificate in teaching Chinese. Ms. Yubing Zuo is passionate in teaching children with love, patience, and personal responsibility. 

Creative Expression Teachers

May--Modeling Teacher

Over the years, Ms. May has cultivated many Chinese child models, with those students eventually holding places in the international mainstream fashion circle. Ms. May has signed with the Beijing Silk Road Model Company in 2010, One Model Management in 2014, and participated in the China International Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week.

Office Staff

Lin Rong--Office Assistant

Ms. Lin Rong graduated from Hunter College's Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics and Statistics degree program. She has 7 years of experience in teaching Mathematics and ESL Intensive English. She has a unique perspective on teaching methods, and adopts personalized strategies to meet the learning goals of students.

Mary--RBH Childcare

Ms. Mary has nearly 20 years of experience in early childhood education and currently serves as head of the RBH Childcare Department. Mrs. Mary believes in being loving, patient, and responsible in giving every child the attention and care required to meet all the children's needs.

Ella Weng--Teacher assistant

Ms.Ella has a cumulative average of 97.5% in her school. She actively participated as a volunteer in different organization to gain valuable work experience.
